The Least Sandpiper is the smallest Sandpiper species in North America. It’s a cute, dainty little shorebird measuring only about 5 inches long and a bit bigger than a sparrow. But they are tenacious foragers along the muddy shoreline…pulling out bugs and slugs and all kinds of tasty morsels.
