There’s nothing like being in sync with your significant other. Trumpeter Swans usually mate for life, and they, along with their families, are tight-knit groups. And yes, they really do sound like a trumpet when they talk to one another.

At the end of the day and the swans fly to a safe and cozy spot to spend the night. This evening had very high winds and the temperatures were dropping quickly.
It looks like a race to get airborne…like the first one to take flight wins a prize. And I guess in a way, it does, flying is quite the gift and the view can’t be beat.
