When you see one of the B2 Spirit bombers fly by for the first time, it just doesn’t quite look real…other-worldly maybe. You can’t really take your eyes off of it. We visited Whiteman Air Force Base in central Missouri a few years ago…which is where the brunt of the B2’s are based. I really enjoyed the airshow, but this plane was undoubtably the star. If I had one wish it would have been for a few clouds…bright, bluebird days, are fine and all but not for photography…and the sky had no detail or texture so I edited it out in black and white with a touch of menacing darkness. After all, no adversary should ever feel good about seeing one of these coming at them…that is, if they see it, or hear it at all.
